About vCards
What is a vCard?
vCard is the standard for exchanging electronic business cards (technically personal data interchange or PDI). vCards are supported by many cell phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and most email software.
What software/hardware supports vCards?
Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Organizer, Novel GroupWise, Netscape Communicator, Starfish Sidekick, Palm, Nokia, PocketPC and many more.
How can I create my own vCard?
All you need to start using GetvCard is a valid email address. Click New vCard to start creating your vCard now.
Where can I get more information?
The Internet Mail Consortium web site has further information about vCard and vCalendar.
Your GetvCard Account
I've forgotten my password.
Use the Forgotten Password form to send a copy to your primary email address.
How do I change my password?
Log in to GetvCard and click on the Preferences form. Click Change Password under GetvCard Preferences.
How do I change my email address?
Log in to GetvCard and click on the Preferences form. Click Change Main Email Address under GetvCard Preferences.
When will you send me email?
We'll send you email when you create your account and if you change your main email address to confirm that you are the legitimate owner of the address. We'll also send you email updates if you are subscribed to our mailing list. You can opt in or out of the mailing list on the Preferences form.

Who will you share my information with?
If you opt in to partner email we will share your name and email address with selected partner sites. You can opt in to this list on the Preferences form.

I want to make my vCard temporarily unavailable.
Log in to GetvCard and click on the Preferences form. Uncheck the Allow users to search for my vCard and Allow access from my vCard URL options and click Save.
I want to remove all of my information from GetvCard.
Log in to GetvCard and click on the Preferences form. Click Delete my vCard under GetvCard Preferences.
Subscribers
How can I tell if anyone has subscribed to my vCard?
When you log in to GetvCard we'll tell you how many times your vCard has been downloaded and also how many people have subscribed to receive updates.
How do I update my subscribers with new contact information?
When you save new information the Update Your Subscribers button will appear. Click this button to update your subscribers (you will need to confirm that you really want to send an update). The Update Your Subscribers button will only appear if you have subscribers.
If you want to send an update without changing any information click Save at the bottom of the Edit your vCard page. This will force the Update Your Subscribers button to appear.
